West Shore United

Dennis Shade was one of the assistant coaches for West Shore United.  During our first two seasons he was an ambassador of the game and

 truly lived and breathed rugby.  After coaching the Harrisburg Men's Rugby team to a victory over their longtime rival, Old Gaelic, Coach Shade passed away at his home at the young age of 54.  In honor of our fallen friend, coach and mentor we have his name and number "2" embroidered on our game jerseys.  This will remain a part of the West Shore United Jersey as long as the club is in existence.  We also award the Dennis Shade "Spirit of Rugby" Trophy to the graduating senior that most exemplifies the true "Spirit" of Rugby.
